A Simulated Esterman Field Test for HGV and Bus drivers.

EVFT enables the user to test and see if they have a good visual
field of 120 degrees wide, and 20 degress above and below the horizon.
A requirement for drivers in many countries.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. You must be careful to make sure you comply with ALL of these instructions.
  2. Your monitor/TV must be a minimum of 40 inches (normally measured diagonally)
    Minimum monitor/TV width 34 inches (86cms) (measured horizontally)
  3. If this screen is not in Fullscreen mode, (ie no title or address bar at the top),
    you should set your monitor display to Full Screen mode. Usually by keying F11
    or on IE or Edge, Hold Windows key + Shift and key Enter.
  4. First sit at a distance of half the screen width. And at the centre of the screen.
    (centre both horizontally and vertically). See the following image.
  5. EVFT tests the left and right field separately.
  6. Next, face to the right hand edge and look at the red target stimulus at ALL times during the test.
    As in the diagram below. The left field is tested first.
  7. Press the SPACEBAR when you see a spot flash.
    Do not press when the target changes from red to white.

    N.B. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, you will be given the opportunity to repeat the left field test without any penalty to your score.
    You can treat the left field test as a learning procedure, and repeat it if you were unsure what to do.
